Italian by birth, Arpita lives and works in Sweden and has been based in Malmö since 1999. Her work has developed through many years of deep personal and spiritual inquiry, leading her to train in several therapeutic approaches.
She has worked internationally in Italy, India and Sweden.
Arpita leads Family Constellation and Star Sapphire workshops, women’s awareness groups, meditation groups and retreats. She also offers individual and couple sessions.
Her work includes Star Sapphire, Somatic Experiencing, counseling, Essence work, Family Constellation and Attachment-oriented approaches. She is trained in Mindfulness and in ISP – Integral Somatic Psychology.
Alongside her therapeutic work, Arpita has been involved in the creation and implementation of several projects.
These include Richterskolan, a school of design focused on bringing awareness skills to designers and people working in the arts, and ISK – Institutet för Systemiska Konstellationer, which organises groups and trainings in Family and Organisational Constellations.
In recent years, Arpita has been deeply involved in assisting trainings in Somatic Experiencing – a body-based method for healing trauma developed by Peter Levine.
This work has become a central part of her professional focus.
Before dedicating herself fully to therapeutic work, Arpita spent more than twenty years working in the contract department of an international oil company.
She initially worked as an interpreter and later as a contract expert, specialising in the hire of helicopters and specialised vessels for exploration and drilling.
